Dean Angstadt is a self-employed tree-cutter who hated Obamacare. A lot. He hated it so much that he refused to sign up for coverage through the law even when his doctors told him he needed major heart surgery to survive.
But Angstadt was blessed to have a guardian angel who was every bit as stubborn as he was in the form of his close friend, Bob Leinhauser. Mr. Leinhauser, a retired firefighter and a nurse, stayed doggedly on Angstadt’s case for months, beseeching him to at least look into the ACA and try to sign up for coverage.
