Executive Director, Pennie
Zach Sherman leads the Pennsylvania Insurance Exchange, a state-affiliated insurance marketplace created to reduce costs and better support the needs of consumers purchasing health coverage. Sherman brings a wealth of health policy and analytics experience to his role at the Authority. As Executive Director, he aims to ensure a stable and accessible individual insurance market and to improve affordability and customer service quality for the hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians who rely on the Authority for coverage. Most recently, Sherman served as Director of HealthSource RI, where he held multiple positions since its establishment in 2011, first as a member of the original implementation team and later as interim Chief Financial Officer and Chief of Staff. Sherman has worked in health policy and research since earning his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee.
