Laval Miller-Wilson is the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Health Law Project, a non-profit law firm with offices in Philadelphia, Harrisburg, and Pittsburgh. PHLP provides free legal services and advocacy to Pennsylvanians that have trouble accessing publicly administered health coverage or services. Laval joined PHLP in 2009. Prior to that, he worked at the Juvenile Law Center (JLC) in Philadelphia, where he was counsel in JLC’s lawsuit in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to ensure accused youth in Luzerne County had the right to counsel. Laval graduated from Harvard College (’89) and the University of Pennsylvania Law School (L’95). He has been a lecturer at Temple University and University of Pennsylvania schools of law.
