April Holgate comes from a background in communications and arts, with a Broadcasting degree from Mansfield University. She has had a colorful career in NYC working in television, theatre, press agencies and as a kids talent agent. Leaving the hustle and bustle of the city for a quieter life in NEPA, lead to her work with under serviced populations. She has spent the last few years working in Scranton as a Community Organizer and then building and sustaining youth arts programs. She is active in local community theatre, photography, book blogging and youth programs.
