Campaign for Better Care

"Home" Improvement

The idea of a “Patient Centered Medical Home” seems to be referenced constantly within the health care quality world.  There’s discussion of whether or not it will work, how it will be implemented, what the cost will be and so on.  All of this happens while patients by and large have no idea what the term is and what a system that embodies this idea would mean for them.

Doctors and patients both know that more change is needed

The experience of caring for a loved one such as a parent or grandparent is something that many people have in common.  Depending on the situation this can be an especially difficult time and unfortunately, navigating the health care system can be a big contributor to this.

During Older Americans Month, Let’s Fight for Better Care

The month of May has been deemed Older Americans Month and, as a result, a host of possible senior-related topics could be up for discussion.  However, you can make the argument that no issue right now is more urgent than ensuring the recently enacted reforms to our health care system are implemented in a way that protects and promotes the health and well-being of older Americans.
