Campaign for Better Care to Hold Conference Call With Ann Torregrossa, Charles Quinnan

The Campaign for Better Care (CBC) will hold a conference call Monday May 10th at 10:00 a.m. The call in number is (218) 339–4600 and the access code is 358656#.

The call will feature two great guest speakers who will give updates on some of the legislative priorities for the CBC in Pennsylvania at this time.

Ann Torregrossa, Director of the Governor’s Office of Health Care Reform, will provide us with a quick update on the future of the Office and also on the current effort to form a new health care authority in the state which will hopefully house the Chronic Care Commission (CCC) moving forward.

Charles Quinnan, the House Aging and Older Adult Services Committee Director from Rep. Phyllis Mundy’s Office, will give the group a quick overview of the Pennsylvania Family Caregiver Support Act (HB 245) sponsored by Rep. Mundy and outline where we’re at in the legislative process with the bill.

We will also talk about what happens now that the Senate Aging and Youth has postponed the Committee vote by an extra month.
