BREAKING: State Senate Committee to Consider Bill Amending Pennsylvania Constitution to Weaken Affordable Care Act

The state Senate Banking and Insurance Committee is scheduled to meet at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7 to consider Senate Bill 10, which will amend the Pennsylvania Constitution so that no law may require individuals to purchase health insurance.Senate Bill 10 is a partisan effort to weaken the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and could be devastating for the millions of Pennsylvanians awaiting full implementation of the new law. Other states, such as Iowa, Kansas, and North Carolina, have taken up and failed to enact similar measures.
